Plenty 2 Cook Social Supermarket
Donations of excess produce have enabled the Marlene Reid Centre to support local community needs since October 2022. A range of fresh surplus produce is available to all at bargain prices, an exciting initiative to help bring the local community together.

The Plenty 2 Cook Social Supermarket in Coalville was set up as a circular economy concept putting a stop to unnecessary food wastage and pollution whilst meeting current environmental needs in accessing affordable everyday consumables and other useful support services. The social supermarket is open to everyone, there is no qualifying criteria to visit, but also supports an emergency food voucher system unique in NW Leicestershire. Chat to one of our team members about the many FREE community activities and events we provide at our centre, minibus shopping and trips out provided by our community transport, or other useful services. |
