The Marlene Reid Centre is a base for MRC Community Action, as well as other Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations. It was formerly a chapel and school, which has been adapted for office space and meetings rooms. It has so much to offer organisations looking for a conference centre, a meeting room, an interview room or even an office.

There is ramped access to the building and toilets are available on the ground floor for people with disabilities.

The Centre offers office space to rent and rooms are available to hire, either for day or evening sessions and these include:

  • A large hall which accommodates up to 100 people and is suitable for meetings, training events, and dances. It has lift access for disabled people.
  • A group/meeting room for up to 75 people. This large room can be divided to provide separate meeting rooms.
  • A committee room for up to 25 people
  • Interview/Counselling Rooms

A range of audio/visual training aids are available for hire, such as:
TV - Video - OHP - Flip Chart

The Centre also offers a photocopying, duplicating and laminating service - Rates available on request.

The Hall is also available for Children's Parties - full information can be found by downloading our "It's Party Time" below. You can either print off a copy of the Children's Party Time Booking Form (below) an send it to Ann Cave at The Marlene Reid Centre or you can complete the onling booking form. All bookings are not confirmed until Ann has contacted you.
